Plastic dryers are a kind of equipment used to remove moisture from plastic raw materials. During the plastic processing, such as injection molding and extrusion, the moisture in the raw materials can have a serious impact on the product quality.
It is the most common type of plastic dryer. The heating device heats the air to a certain temperature (usually between 60 – 180 °C), and then the blower is used to blow the hot air into the drying hopper filled with plastic raw materials. The hot air fully contacts the plastic raw materials in the hopper, and the moisture in the raw materials evaporates into water vapor under the action of the hot air and is then discharged along with the air.
