Water-cooled chillers mainly use water as a cooling medium to take away the heat of the refrigerant. The compressor compresses the refrigerant into a gaseous state with high temperature and high pressure, and then transports it to the condenser. In the condenser, the refrigerant exchanges heat with the cooling water. After the cooling water absorbs the heat of the refrigerant, the refrigerant condenses into a liquid state. The liquid refrigerant passes through the expansion valve for throttling and pressure reduction, and then enters the evaporator. In the evaporator, the refrigerant absorbs the heat of the cooled medium (usually water), reducing the temperature of the cooled water. The cooled water is transported to the equipment or process links that need cooling through the circulation system. After absorbing heat, it returns to the evaporator for the next cycle. The cooling water that has absorbed the heat of the refrigerant dissipates heat through equipment such as cooling towers and then circulates back to the condenser to continue cooling the refrigerant.
